12 Tips to help make A decision

Decision-making process never ends. It is a complex in every day, and it is to choose our path as we. Each choice drives us step by step in a different direction as the one that we would have otherwise.
We decide in all kinds of ways. Sometimes we leave things to luck. Sometimes, we take a more proactive role. Here are some ways that we often make decisions, and some of my thoughts on each:
Make you a list of the pre-and disadvantages
What is decision making but weigh the benefits and costs and determine which choice is the best? Whenever I people who try to see, make a tough decision to make, which often take you a piece of paper, a T chart, and lists you which upstream and disadvantages of each option. This can help to provide a bigger picture of what you are working.
Ask a friend
Some studies have shown that others may know us better than us. While I don't that this is always true to think I can see how friends certain things can refer, we can be aware of in any case. By you an opinion by a third party, which knows us well, they can shed light on our values and attitudes that we were not, taking into account previously.
View from multiple perspectives
A major obstacle towards effective solutions sits you in the same State of mind is. We must be flexible. One of my favorite quotes of Einstein is "Not a problem from the same level of consciousness that created it can be solved." We look at things from different perspectives by pretending we are not that we are something, and see how the process from a new point of view unfolds. We should decrease and take a bird's eye view or expand and elaborate on the details. Both can be useful and add insight.
Do your research
Some decisions require that we know more about the subject that we are on the decision. This makes the choice without some research can run things in a nightmare, so that you do not enable hasty. Take time to search Google or Wikipedia. You may find a forum to ask a few questions. Be thorough, and review your sources. She would not accept advice from British Petroleum (BP), how big is their environmental plan, but you could accept (, are a vested interest in you not) advice from an impartial third-party organization.
Picture the worst
What's the worst that can happen if X? What is the worst that can happen if you don't do X? This can be important questions to questions. Worst case scenarios happen, and they can be prepared for them. Sometimes we can find, that a risk not involved, that we are willing to take.
Consider all your options
Did you ever a decision only to later find out that it consider an option, that you, not? The damage can. Before you make a big decision, make sure that you have thought from the full-range options. You can discover to make a "third way", which makes much easier to your choice.
Follow your heart
It is a myth that all good decision making is based on logic and reason. This is not the case. Our emotions are a resource, and by our hearts after we can sometimes much wiser long-term decisions. Our emotions are available to help us understand and analyze our world in profound ways. Of course they can tempt us, and that is why we must be careful. If we are not used to following gut instinct, it takes much practice before we get it right.
Reflect their values
Without action to first consider what it is that it is one of the best ways, not always what you want. Track you the values for, and about your intentions be clear. After the expensive jeans may seem appealing at the moment, but without looking long distance we can ditch into a hole. Do know what you want from life and according to prioritize.
Go to an expert
We are often the knowledgeable person on a particular topic. Our friends can sometimes not be better. In this case, it may be appropriate, to seek advice from an expert in the field. Invest? A market analyst speak. Feeling depressed? Go see a psychologist. Not sure how to get a book to write? Discuss tips with other authors.
Go for a run and then decide
If you are down at the moment to make a decision, not try walking away, for a little. Every sense of the word. Downtown stroll or do some running on the treadmill. This will help, get your mind of things, and let you do your subconscious part of the work. When you are finished they are more often think.
A NAP
Napping is another great way, a break from tough decisions. It is encouraged even being in the workforce efficiency when the improvement of problem-solving (and productivity) has been now for it. Like go for a walk or run, you can NAP re-boot our mind and come back more clearly think. Sleep deprivation is still a major problem in the United States are the National Sleep Foundation (NSF) found that more than 60% of Americans sleep a few nights at least one week experience. This can have a negative impact on our cognitive ability, so a NAP may inform a critical way, you have lost to improve zzz and our physical and mental health.
Throw a coin or a dice roll
Sometimes we want our decisions to chance (perhaps from the burden of a decision by distance) leave. So instead of thinking, we can throw a coin or a dice roll or play "Eeny, Meeny, miny, MoE." This technique can have its advantages, especially if we prefer have a possibility or not. It also helps if the decision is not too important (perhaps we are deciding what to see movie on a Friday night-, so it's not how it is life and death).
